Joseluis Jimenez, MD

Jose Luis Jimenez, MD, is an experienced physician at Medical Access, located in Germantown, Maryland. Dr. Jimenez brings a diversified medical background in family practice and urgent and primary care, and has worked with large health organizations such as Kaiser Permanente since 1991. 

Dr. Jimenez hails from Bogotá, Colombia. He received both his Bachelor of Science in pre-medical studies and his Master in Health Administration in Colombia. Upon immigrating to the United States, Dr. Jimenez completed National Medical Review school in Newport Beach, California, and completed his residency in family practice at Mercy Health Systems in Janesville, Wisconsin, in 2001.

In addition to these qualifications, he is also a civil surgeon for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. One of his most interesting and unusual assignments was working for the Maryland State Athletic Commission as a professional wrestling ringside attending physician. Dr. Jimenez is also bilingual, as he is fluent in English and Spanish.

When not alleviating his patients’ illnesses, Dr. Jimenez loves to travel to interesting places around the world. One of his favorite experiences is celebrating Christmas at the various Christmas markets in Germany, one of the most popular yearly events. He absolutely leads by example and practices what he preaches, promoting everyday exercise, good health, and a balanced diet.
